Malta Public Transport went on to say that when the back door is left open while travelling, an alarm alerts the driver as happened in this case. The driver stopped the bus and closed the door, and the matter was resolved within a short time frame according to CCTV footage from the bus.

“The company will take the necessary action, including driver retraining, to avoid such an instance happening again. The safety of our passengers remains a priority,” said Malta Public Transport.
