Watch: Two Men Spend Under Four Days Trekking And Exploring ‘Every Corner’ Of Malta
Two men have spent under four days exploring “every corner” of Malta in a 160-kilometre trek.
Javier Viloria from Venezuela and Federico Scuri from Italy completed the incredible adventure this week, being the first to walk the entire island in less than four days and “covering every single corner” except Palumbo because they weren’t let in.
“Having lived in Malta for seven years, I’ve developed a deep love for sports and outdoor exploration. I’ve trekked around Gozo multiple times, ventured across Comino, and even completed a north-to-south hike from the ferry to Birżebbuġa. This latest achievement of trekking all of Malta was a dream come true, made possible by a lot of dedicated training and preparation,” Javier told Lovin Malta.
To complete this impressive feat, they walked 217,689 steps with an elevation gain of 2,881 metres.
The pair hope that by sharing their story, they’ll inspire more people to experience trekking around this “beautiful island”.
