‘We Are Not Under Any Cyber Attack’: Bolt Slams ‘Malicious’ Rumours Of App Being Hacked
Bolt EU has slammed rumours circulating about the app being hacked as “malicious”, assuring users that the company is not under any cyber attack.
Notified about the hacking rumours, Lovin Malta promptly reached out to a spokesperson for Bolt EU, who immediately replied denying the rumours.
“I can confirm that we are not under any cyber attack. These are rumours, which we consider to be of a malicious nature,” the PR Manager for Bolt told Lovin Malta this morning.
“Our operations are working as they should. Bolt doesn’t have any credentials to access anyone’s offline or online bank accounts.”
“Additionally, as of today, no one has reached out to us that they have been hacked.”
This comes after a number of people around Malta were told to remove their credit card details from the application due to the possibility of it being under cyber attack.
