Youth Rescued By Civil Protection After Encountering Difficulty While Swimming In Sliema
A young swimmer was rescued yesterday afternoon after getting into difficulty in the waters off Sliema.
Civil Protection Malta said responders from Fire Stations 5 and 11 were dispatched to the scene and successfully assisted the individual. The swimmer was transported using a Civil Protection marine asset and handed over to the Emergency Department at Mater Dei Hospital for further medical treatment.
The Civil Protection Department thanked the Malta Red Cross and Mater Dei’s Emergency Department for their support during the operation.
