The National dance company, Żfin Malta will be on an international tour this weekend, set to grace an Italian dance festival this weekend.

The Żfin Malta dancers will be opening the Civitanova Danza Festival in Marche, Italy this Saturday 8th July at Teatro Annibal Caro.

This year the Civitanova Danza festival is celebrating its’ 30th anniversary. This dance festival presents 11 events with leading Italian and international artists, including world premieres, with the aim of bringing together representatives of the world of dance and different cultures, exploring various choreographic styles and languages.

Eight Żfin Malta dancers, under the artistic direction of Paolo Mangiola, will be performing Utopia, a unique contemporary piece choreographed by Emanuel Gat, which premiered in Malta at the Manoel Theatre last May.

This is a great opportunity for the Maltese national dance company to be in the limelight of such an event. Through this world-known festival, Żfin Malta continues to attract the recognition it deserves.

“It’s an honour to be invited once again to the prestigious Civitanova Danza Festival, and even more so to open the event in its celebration of 30 years,” Mangiola said.

“Being part of an incredible line-up of international artists and companies fills us with pride and makes us truly grateful to represent Malta’s talent on a global stage.”

“Żfin Malta is truly an ambassador, dedicated and committed to  sharing the captivating beauty of our island through dance, and we couldn’t be more excited about showcasing the best of what Malta has to offer,” Mangiola emphasised.

Stay tuned for the launch of Żfin Malta’s new season in September, packed with world class productions and activities, leading into our 10 year anniversary.

Well done Żfin Malta and good luck!
