Lovin Malta is a growing brand with big ambitions and we’re expanding.
We’re looking for an Editor-in-Chief to lead our newsroom into its next chapter. This is one of the most senior editorial positions in the company. A role for someone who lives and breathes journalism, understands the Maltese landscape inside out and knows how to spot a story before it even breaks.
As Editor-in-Chief, you’ll manage our team of journalists, oversee editorial output, uphold ethical standards and shape the daily news agenda. You’ll be working closely with the CEO and other department heads to ensure that our voice is sharp, our reporting is impactful, and our newsroom thrives in a fast-paced digital environment.
What We’re Looking For:

A strong editorial background with newsroom leadership experience

Excellent grasp of current affairs and Maltese politics, culture and society

A critical thinker with a sharp editorial eye and high standards

Someone comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

A natural leader who can mentor, guide and inspire a team of journalists
What You’ll Be Doing:

Leading the newsroom and managing the day-to-day editorial calendar

Setting the tone, standards and editorial direction of our news coverage

Making decisions on story prioritisation, tone and presentation

Coordinating with video, social and design teams to tell stories in the most engaging way possible

Helping build public trust through fact-based, responsible and relevant journalism
