Malta's Latest Teen Idol Is A Perfect Cross Between Rebecca Black and Meghan Trainor

Confident 15-year-old gets lots of love for 'Pancakes & Cream'

Rebecca Scicluna Rizzo has divided the internet.

Her ode to Pancakes & Cream has already racked up more than 50,000 views on Facebook since its release three days ago.

But while her glowing persona is reminiscent of the empowering Meghan Trainor, whose song All About That Bass is now an anthem for women of all shapes and sizes, Rebecca's video also brings back memories of the 2011 YouTube hate-magnet Rebecca Black (of Friday notoriety).

Pancakes & Cream has all the makings of a feel-good summer pop song. It's set at a typical Maltese pool party (pink sausages included) and has an international quality to it that creeps up on you when you least expect it.

But then Rebecca Black comes flashing back and you're left thinking: Do I love it? Do I hate it?

We're undecided. What do you think?
