110 new COVID-19 cases and 161 recoveries were recorded in Malta overnight, bringing the island’s total number of active cases down to 2,097.

Yesterday, Malta hit the grim milestone of 101 COVID-19 deaths, after it was announced that three men, aged 78, 87, and 79 passed away after contracting the virus.

2,345 swab tests were conducted in Malta over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of swab tests conducted locally since the country’s first case of COVID-19 up to 388,663.
