13 Irregular Migrants Arrested In Gozo Police Operation And Are Set To Be Deported
13 irregular migrants have been arrested in Gozo following a police inspection.
On 4th August, police conducted a routine inspection in Għajnsielem and discovered a group of people without the legal documentation to live in Malta
The people detained were from Turkey (4), Ghana (3), Albania (3), Togo (3) and Pakistan (1),
Work is now being done to depart the persons back to their home country.
This arrest forms part of an initiative to clamp down on irregular migrants in the country who do not have the necessary documentation.
