14 People And Two Dogs Rescued From Burning Ta’ Xbiex Building

Firefighters from Stations 2, 4 and 11 of the Civil Protection Department yesterday rescued 14 people and two dogs from a structure fire in Ta’ Xbiex.

A fire broke out in the common area of the residential building, causing heavy smoke and leaving the people and dogs trapped inside their homes.

Photos released by the CPD show the building’s entrance suffered extensive damage. Firefighters managed to save everyone and four people were admitted to Mater Dei for further monitoring as a result of smoke inhalation.
