14-Year-Old Girl Taken To Hospital After Fight In Dingli School
A 14-year-old girl was taken to hospital on Wednesday after another pupil broke her nose in a school fight at St Nicholas College in Dingli.
Sources told Times of Malta the altercation broke out between two girls of the same age- one punched the other in the face, causing the injury.
The injured girl was transported by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. She has since been discharged.
Authorities do not yet know what triggered the fight. The school handled the matter internally and disciplined the girl responsible. The parents of the victim said they do not intend to pursue the matter further.
The incident follows closely on the heels of a stabbing at another school, a 14-year-old boy at St Clare’s College in Pembroke, adding to mounting concerns over student violence in Maltese schools.
