Police have been unable to track down and arrest a Serbian man accused of stabbing a Macedonian man in Buġibba last month.

Milos Vidakoviḱ is suspected of having stabbed a 58-year-old Macedonian man on June 24th between Triq il-Korp tal-Pijunieri and Triq l-10 ta’ Frar in Buġibba.

A member of the Macedonian community told Lovin Malta that the victim hadn’t even known Vidakoviḱ, but had merely tried to break up a fight between him and other people.

Four days later, police published Vidakoviḱ’s name and photos in an appeal to the public to help trace him down, and his details were also published by Macedonian media outlets.

However, a police spokesperson confirmed with Lovin Malta today that the subject is still on the run.

Anyone with information about this person is asked to contact the Police authorities, even anonymously, on telephone numbers 2122 4001 or 119.
