The 19-year-old driver who was involved in a shocking crash along Mdina road last night is at risk of dying.

The incident occurred along Mdina road, Żebbuġ, yesterday at around 6.15pm, police confirmed.

The 19-year-old from Qormi, who was driving a Toyota Vitz, lost control of the vehicle and ended up crashing into the barriers and the wall nearby. 

An ambulance transported the man to Mater Dei Hospital, where it was later certified that he is suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Magistrate Gabriella Vella is leading an inquiry, while police investigations are ongoing.
