20-Year-Old Brit Seriously Injured After Argument Near Ta’ Qali

A 20-year-old British man was seriously injured following an argument outside an establishment in the limits of Ta’ Qali early this morning.
Police were called to the scene at around 3.45am, where the victim was being treated by a medical team already on site.
He was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance and certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Security staff had detained a man allegedly involved in the argument, while police were informed of another man also linked to the incident. Both were arrested.
The suspects, a 22-year-old Portuguese man and a 21-year-old British man, are currently being held under arrest.
Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia has launched an inquiry, while police investigations are ongoing.
