A 22-year-old man from Tarxien was rushed to hospital following a traffic accident in Marsaxlokk earlier today.

Police were notified that the accident happened at around 5 pm in Triq Delimara when a Chevrolet Matiz, driven by a 36-year-old man from Kalkara, overturned after the driver lost control.

The 22-year-old was a passenger in the vehicle and suffered injuries that required him to be taken to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance. It was later certified that he was suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
