A 23-year-old man was arrested after police found 70 bags of suspected cocaine and heroin on his person in Marsa.

Police were following the man on Monday evening, before he was stopped and searched in Triq in-Nagħal, Marsa.

After police conducted a search, 70 bags of suspected cocaine and heroin were found, as well as an iron fist and a bottle of pepper spray. 

Magistrate Joseph Mifsud has appointed an inquiry.

The man is currently in police custody before he will appear in front of court later this afternoon.
