A 24-year-old man has been grievously injured after being involved in a car crash on the Coast Road this evening, in what is the second terrible accident today involving a two-wheeled vehicle and a four-wheeled vehicle.

The 24-year-old, who lives in St Paul’s Bay, was driving along the Coast Road in Naxxar at around 5:45 pm when he became involved in a crash with a 62-year-old woman, also from St Paul’s Bay, who was driving a Smart car.

The motorcyclist, who was driving a Hyosung Mirage, became injured in the crash, and a medical team was called onto the scene. He was taken to Mater Dei where he was confirmed to have been grievously injured.

This accident comes barely half a day after a cyclist was left fighting for his life after crashing into a car that was left in the bike lane of the Coast Road.
