25 People Arrested In Marsa And Paceville During Crackdown On Irregular Immigration

25 individuals have been arrested by Immigration Police after being found residing in Malta without the proper documentation.
The arrests were made during a series of inspections across public transport, a private residence, Paceville, and a traffic control operation in Marsa.
A Maltese man was also arrested and is expected to be charged in court with facilitating irregular immigration.
Those arrested are being held at a detention centre and will remain there until removal procedures are carried out.
The Marsa traffic operation, held on Monday morning, saw 52 vehicles stopped, with fines issued for overloaded vehicles and passengers without seatbelts. One vehicle was also towed for being driven without a valid licence or insurance.
The operation was a joint effort between Immigration Police, JobsPlus, Identità, the Detention Services Agency, and Transport Malta.
