25 people were found living illegally in Malta during inspections carried out earlier this morning in Raħal Ġdid and Fgura.

The inspections were carried out by Malta’s police and the Detention Services in several places. 

People of various nationalities were found, including from India, Bangladesh, Syria and Colombia, among others.

Over the last few weeks, Malta’s authorities have become more vigilant about people living in Malta in an illegal manner, with a number of raids taking place.
