25 Wins In 22 Years: Labonski Carnival Company Breaks National Record
Labonski Carnival Company has officially entered the Malta Records after being recognised as the most successful Carnival company in the Maltese Islands, securing 25 first-place victories in various categories over the past 22 years.
The achievement was announced yesterday, as Malta Records crossed the channel to the sister island to present the national record, highlighting Labonski’s dominance in the local Carnival scene.
The company is the first and only Carnival troupe to amass such a high number of wins in the shortest amount of time.
Labonski has long been a standout name in Malta’s Carnival tradition, known for its elaborate floats, creative performances, and dedication to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression in the festival.
With this latest recognition, the company cements its place in Maltese Carnival history and organisers have already expressed their commitment to continuing to elevate the festival’s standard in the years to come.
