A 25-year-old Italian man was arrested by Malta’s police in connection to stealing from vehicles parked in the areas of Mosta and Mġarr.

While patrolling along Triq Sir Harry Luke in Mġarr around 3.15am, police noticed a man which fitted into previous descriptions of a man going around vehicles in a suspicious manner.

Police arrested him upon the matching of the description, and it turned out that he is a resident of Mġarr.

Following a search, police found a number of objects that could be used to aid in vehicle robbery, including a screwdriver.

The man will be prosecuted in court today at around 1pm in front of Magistrate Noel Bartolo.
