A 25-year-old Valletta resident was grievously injured after argument with another man in Strait Street in Valletta this morning.

At around 2.15 am, the police was informed of an incident in Strait Street.

The police went on the scene and found the 25-year-old with some injuries and was taken to the nearest health centre where he was later certified with grievous injuries.

Initial investigations revealed an argument had taken place between the victim and a man whose identity is unknown as he had left the scene.

During the argument, a glass was allegedly used as a weapon.

The police are continuing with the investigations.
