A 26-year-old Spanish man has been identified as the driver in this morning’s hit-and-run that left an 85-year-old man at risk of dying.

Following intensive investigations, police managed to locate the car involved in the accident within a few hours, as well as identify the driver.

The 26-year-old was arrested earlier today, while the vehicle, a Nissan, was found in Triq il-Kunsill tal-Ewropa in Luqa.

He is going to be kept under arrest, while police investigations are still ongoing.
