A 27-year-old man has lost his life in a jet ski accident this afternoon.

The man, from France, is believed to have died by the time he arrived at Gozo General.

The accident occurred around 1.30pm in Ħondoq ir-Rummien in Gozo.

A woman, aged 25 and also French, was involved in the accident, which saw the man hurled off his jet ski; however, the woman appears to be unharmed.

After the accident, the man was given assistance from a dingy nearby until emergency responders arrived.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
