A 27-year-old man residing in Gżira was arrested after he was found in possession of suspected cocaine and cannabis in Marsa.

After police observed a stable in Marsa where drugs were allegedly being trafficked, police circled the area yesterday, went inside, and arrested the people who were inside.

Investigations led police to discover multiple sachets of suspected cocaine and cannabis, as well as digital scales and other items related to drug trafficking. 

Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech is leading an inquiry into the case.

Meanwhile, the man is set to appear this morning at around 11.15am in front of Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace.

Police investigations are ongoing
