29 undocumented migrants have been found and arrested after inspections continued in Ħamrun and Marsa.

During the inspections, assisted by the detention services, Malta’s police located 29 people that were living in Malta illegally.

The migrants were originating from Senegal, Ghana, Gambia, Afghanistan, Mali, Egypt, and Syria. They have now been taken to Malta’s detention centre.

Police are also investigating the migrants’ employers and whoever provided housing for them.

The inspections are set to continue over the coming weeks.

This is just the latest in weekly raids that have been targetting third-country nationals that are living undocumented in Malta.
