30 people were found to be residing illegally in Malta following police inspections carried out earlier this morning.

Police, together with Malta’s Detention Services, carried out inspections today in the areas of Qawra and St Paul’s Bay, where 30 irregular immigrants were found.

These were immediately taken to the detention centre so that the return process can commence, in the same way that other located irregular immigrants were removed from the island in recent months.

Police assured these investigations will continue in the coming weeks.
