30-Year-Old Birkirkara Man Dies After Falling From Hastings Gardens Bastion In Valletta
A 30-year-old man from Birkirkara has died following an incident in Valletta last night.
Police officers were informed of a body on the ground in St Jacob’s Ditch in Valletta last night at around 6.15pm.
After attending the scene and following preliminary investigations, police believe the man died after falling from the height of a bastion from nearby Hastings Garden.
The man was certified dead on the scene.
According to sources that spoke to TVM, people on the scene said they saw the man sitting on the bastions, before he slipped and fell into the ditch.
Magistrate Elaine Mercieca has informed of the case. Police investigations into the death continue.
