36 Maltese Localities To Be Affected By Ongoing Fault Repairs, Enemalta Tells Consumers
36 localities all over Malta could possibly be affected by power shortages due to ongoing repair works on faulty cables.
The information was sent to consumers reaching out to Enemalta on messenger, as the company’s CEO has said that just because the temperature is dropping today, it doesn’t mean the power cuts will stop.
“Currently, we are addressing a fault / carrying out maintenance works that may affect the electricity supply in these localities: Birkirkara, Fleur-de-Lys, Swatar, Birżebbuġa, Bormla, Fgura, Għaxaq, Gudja, Gżira, Ħamrun, Isla, Kalkara, L-Ibraġ, Marsa, Mellieħa, Mqabba, Msida, Naxxar, Paola, Pieta’, Gwardamanġa, Qormi, Rabat, San Ġiljan, San Ġwann, Kappara, San Pawl il-Baħar, Qawra, Santa Venera, Sliema, St Andrews, Swieqi, Ta’ Xbiex, Tarxien, Valletta, and Żabbar.”
Power cuts have continued to persist for the eighth day, as the 11-day heatwave is finally drawing to a close.
It is unclear when the issue will be totally resolved.
