4-Month-Old Baby Hospitalised Among 7 Other People After Ħaż-Żabbar Car Collision
Yesterday, at around 5.00pm, the police were informed of a traffic incident on Labour Street, Ħaż-Żabbar which saw a 4-month-old baby taken to Mater Dei.
Investigations revealed that a collision occurred between a Toyota Ist, driven by an 18-year-old Attard resident, and a Volvo XC60, driven by a 54-year-old resident of Mosta. A 20-year-old woman from Bormla and her 4-year-old child were passengers in the Toyota.
In the incident, a Renault Captur and a VW Polo, which were parked, were also involved in the collision.
In the VW Polo, there was a 54-year-old man from Ħaż-Żabbar, a 4-year-old girl, and two boys aged 9 and 11.
Medical assistance and support from the Civil Protection Department were provided on-site.
The man and the children who were in the VW Polo, along with the 18-year-old driver, were taken to Mater Dei Hospital. The 4-year-old child was later certified with serious injuries, while the other individuals were certified with minor injuries.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
