40 Evacuated And Second Building At Risk Of Collapse, BCA Officials Tell Media

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Chief said that a second building could be at risk of complete or partial collapse in Paceville.
The official told Malta Today that the Civil Protection Department came onsite to check the structural integrity of a second building that appeared to be unstable in the vicinity of Tania Flats, which collapsed on Wednesday night.
The prime concern is that eventually, the building will give way either slowly or all at once.
“That is the biggest danger for workers and the public in the area.”
This finding comes as 40 residents were evacuated from nearby hotels and apartments as a preventative measure.
