Customs Malta intercepted another load of cocaine coming from the Americas, this time en route to Cairo, Egypt.

In their latest bust, Customs Malta found 40kgs of cocaine in a reefer container en-route from Puerto Rico to Cairo.

“The cocaine was found in 40 packets each containing approximately 1kg of the narcotic, concealed in a compartment known as the reefer-area,” Customs Malta said, sharing images from the find.

The reefer was transporting a shipment of medical products, with the cocaine packed tightly into inconspicuous medium sized packages inside the container.
