A 41-year-old Albanian man is at risk of dying after suffering an injury while working in Mqabba.

Today, at around 12.30pm, the police were informed by health authorities that a man had been admitted to Mater Dei Hospital earlier after sustaining injuries at a site located in Sqaq tax-Xagħri l-Imqalleb, in the Mqabba area.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man, a 41-year-old Albanian residing in Siġġiewi, was injured while carrying out some work.

The victim received first aid from some colleagues who then took him to the hospital, where he was later certified to have suffered serious injuries.

An inquiry led by Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici has also been opened.
