A woman died in a traffic accident yesterday at 5.30pm in Triq l-Imdina, Rabat.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police noted that the 45-year-old Mġarr resident lost control of the Yamaha motorcycle she was driving and fell.

A medical team rushed her to Mater Dei Hospital, however, she was certified dead a short while after.

An inquiry has been appointed by Police Magistrate Gabriella Vella and police investigations are currently still ongoing.
