A 50-year-old American woman is in a serious condition after experiencing difficulties while swimming in the Blue Lagoon at Comino, Malta.

At approximately 12:00 PM today, the Malta Police Force was alerted about a situation requiring immediate assistance at the popular tourist location, Blue Lagoon, in Comino. Initial investigations revealed that a 50-year-old American woman encountered difficulties while she was swimming.

Members of the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps quickly pulled the woman ashore and administered first aid until a medical team arrived at the scene. The woman was then transported to Gozo General Hospital, where she was confirmed to be in a serious condition.
