58-Year-Old Marsaskala Man At Risk Of Dying After Freeport Machinery Collision
A 58-year-old man from Marsaskala is at risk of dying after being involved in an incident at Malta’s Freeport last night.
The incident occurred at around 1.30am this morning, after two container-carrying vehicles collided at the Freeport in Birżebbuġa.
Police immediately went on site and found that these two pieces of machinery were being controlled by a 30-year-old man from Rabat and a 58-year-old man from Marsaskala.
The 58-year-old suffered injuries and he was assisted on site by members from the Civil Protection Department and a medical team.
He was transported to Mater Dei for care and it was later certified that he’s suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Magistrate Gabriella Vella is leading an inquiry.
