A 59-year-old woman is at risk of dying after she fell downstairs in a private residence in Santa Luċija.

A medical team and police arrived at the residence at 1:30 am where they discovered that the woman had fallen down a flight of stairs and was seriously hurt.

She was rushed to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance where it was later certified that she was suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
