A 67-year-old man has sadly lost his life after falling from his home’s roof in Mosta early this morning.

Police were called to the scene at around 7.15am, after receiving a report of an incident at a residence in Triq l-Antinni.

Initial investigations revealed that the man fell from around one storey off the rooftop room of his own home.

Emergency responders, including a medical team and members of the Civil Protection Department, were quick to assist.

He was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance but was unfortunately certified dead shortly after arrival.

Magistrate Joseph Mifsud has opened an inquiry and appointed a number of experts to assist in the case.

Police investigations are still underway.
