69-Year-Old Man Dies After Falling Into Sea At St Peter’s Pool

A person has passed away after falling into the sea at St Peter’s Pool in Marsaxlokk earlier today.

At around 1.30pm, the police was informed that there was a person who was in the sea and needed assistance.

From initial investigations, it appears the 69-year-old Romanian man fell into the sea and found himself in difficulty.

Members of the Armed Forces of Malta assisted with the task of bringing the man up into Xatt it-Tiben, il-Furjana.

The man was given treatment from a medical team however was certified dead on the spot. 

Magistrate Giannella Camilleri Busuttil was informed of the case and is leading an inquiry while the police is continuing with investigations.
