A 79-year-old man tragically died after falling one storey from a balcony in Safi yesterday afternoon.

Police were informed about the incident yesterday at around 4pm which occurred along Triq iż-Żurrieq where the man fell from the balcony of his home.

A medical team was called on site and an ambulance transported the man to hospital however he succumbed to his injuries.

Magistrate Caroline Farrugia Frendo is leading an inquiry while police investigations are still ongoing.
