At around 4:05pm today a lifeless body was discovered in Triq Nazzjonali in Blata l-Bajda shortly after a call was put out for a missing man from Floriana named Romeo Delmar.

Police were unable to confirm the identity of the man who was found, but confirmed he was an 81-year-old man from Floriana.

The police were called in to assist after the body was found. Members from the Floriana health centre were called to the scene to assist, and certified the man as dead.

Magistrate Dr A. Demicoli has appointed various experts to assist in her inquiry, and police investigations continue.
