87 People Were Prosecuted In 2022 For Fighting In Paceville
87 people were prosecuted in 2022 in connection to fights in Paceville, according to Minister for Home Affairs Byron Camilleri.
When asked by former St Julian’s mayor and current PN MP, Camilleri said that a further three individuals were trialed for damaging private property, while another three were charged for swearing in public.
In more than four years, over 400 fights were reported in St Julian’s and Paceville, all of which resulted in injuries, according to the police.
Meanwhile, the government claims that the entertainment mecca is constantly being monitored by an increased number of officers.
In June 2022, Byron Camilleri claimed that plans for a Paceville security squad were being discussed. However, no information was unveiled about when the squad will start functioning.
Earlier this month, a fight reported on 23rd February ended up with two men charged with injuring a number of individuals and breaching public peace.
