87-Year-Old Man Dies After Motorcycle Accident In Paola
An 87-year-old man has died from injuries sustained after being run over by a motorcycle on 7th September.
At around 8.30am yesterday, police were called in to assist after the incident in Triq Għajn Dwieli, Paola.
Preliminary investigations showed that an 87-year-old Paola resident had been struck by a Honda motorcycle being driven by a 54-year-old Isla resident.
The victim was given first aid on the scene by a medical team before being rushed to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. However, he died later in hospital.
Magistrate Elaine Mercieca has opened an inquiry while police investigations continue.
