‘A Man Of Integrity’: PL MEP Daniel Attard Endorses Jason Micallef For Deputy Leader Role
Labour MEP Daniel Attard has endorsed Jason Micallef for the role of PL deputy leader of party affairs.
Attard said that Micallef has all the ideal qualities to succeed Daniel Micallef, who will step down from the role in September.
“He is a grassroots Labourite who climbed the PL structures step by step through hard work,” Attard said.
“He was one of the first PL councillors to get elected to the Mosta local council, and he served two terms as PL secretary general.”
“He successfully led several internal structures and electoral campaigns and entirely transformed our TV stations.”
“He also spearheaded an unprecedented economic and social regeneration in Valletta that is appreciated by all with goodwill. The same applies for the Ta’ Qali National Park.”
“In Robert Abela’s words, with Jason Micallef your mind is at rest that he will work and deliver. Above all, he is consistent and has integrity. You may disagree with him but at least you know where you stand with him. I consider his credentials ideal, if not the best possible, for what the PL requires in a deputy leader.”
