A new crafts shop in Valletta, run by people with disabilities, will open this evening during Notte Bianca.

KreAction is a new handicraft shop run by disabled individuals, located in Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Valletta. It offers people attending daytime services at Aġenzija Sapport centers in Malta and Gozo a space to sell their own handicraft products.

The shop opens to the public during this evening from 5 pm onwards. It sells various products, including woodwork, ceramics, drawings, and more, crafted by about 150 people with disabilities from 10 different day centers.

After Notte Bianca, it will reopen for the Christmas holidays from November 13.

Culture Minister Owen Bonnici highlighted the shop’s importance as a place promoting inclusiveness in the community, especially for those with disabilities.

Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli praised the skills of people with disabilities and encourages public support for the initiative.

Oliver Sciculna, CEO of Aġenzija Sapport, sees this project as an opportunity for clients to gain work experience, promote their work, manage sales, and organise the shop.
