Abner Aquilina Sketched Out Paulina Dembska Rape As Court Orders Return To Psychiatric Ward
Details have emerged of suspected rapist and murderer Abner Aquilina continuing to brag about how he murdered and raped Paulina Dembska to police officers visiting his cell in Mount Carmel.
Apart from Aquilina also proclaiming himself as “the antichrist”, officers also discovered a drawing that he had done on his vest which seems to depict the rape scene.
The vest was later acquired by police and taken in as evidence as part of the ongoing case against Aquilina.
This is not the first time that instances have emerged where Aquilina laughed or bragged about the murder, with the 21-year-old even bragging on how he’s been declared mentally unstable.
Earlier today, a court ordered the return of Aquilina to the psychiatric care ward, after his lawyers argued that the forensic unit was not offering the same level of care.
This came after Aquilina was reportedly making progress while he was in the general ward of the psychiatric unit, only to be removed and placed within the forensic unit, which is under the jurisdiction of the prison authorities.
Aquilina stands accusing of raping and murdering the 29-year-old Polish student, on New Year’s Day in the Independence Gardens in Sliema.
Aquilina was taken into custody in the early morning of January 2, 2022, in St Julian’s, following an incident he caused within Balluta Church. His arrest came shortly after the body of the victim was found on a ramp that connects the gardens to the Sliema promenade.
The court case will continue in October.
