A 37-year-old Turk and resident of St Paul’s Bay fell around two metres while working on a construction site in Mellieħa.

The incident occurred yesterday morning on Triq ir-Ramla before an ambulance took the man to Mater Dei hospital where his grievous injuries were certified. 

Police were called to the scene and upon a preliminary investigation, they discovered that he fell while he was working on a construction site.

Investigations are currently ongoing both by the police and the Occupational Health & Safety Authority.
