Action Taken On Illegal Xewkija Scrapyard As Planning Authority Swoops In
Planning Authority officials visited Gozo this morning to remove cars, trucks, kitchen appliances and several other items from a massive illegal scrapyard in Xewkija.
TVM reported that the scrapyard is the largest illegal scrapyard in Gozo, built on agricultural land and operating in breach of EU directives.
Several police officers were also involved in the operation.
