Adorable Two-Year Old Maltese Girl Chosen To Be International Ambassador For Children With Down Syndrome
Francesca Rausi, a two-year-old Maltese girl with Down Syndrome, has been chosen as the Maltese ambassador for children with this condition. The decision forms part of a campaign by Nothing Down, an international organisation based in the US which supports parents of children with Down Syndrome and helps spread a positive message about the condition.
Francesca was chosen as Malta’s ambassador for Nothing Down after her photographs were submitted to the organisation online. Even at only two years old, little Francesca has already shown a great deal of intelligence and communication skills. And her smile has everyone on social media falling in love with her.

The adorable girl’s parents, Michelle and Roderick, have been supporting other Maltese parents and spreading the positive message on the condition through their work with the Malta Down Syndrome Association. But it looks like Francesca has also been doing her own part, spreading joy just through her infectious smile.
“I just can’t describe the happiness she gives me, and I feel very lucky to have her,” Michelle told TVM. Francesca’s video clips will be shown in the US, and Nothing Down can even give out her photographs. With this, her parents hope the same happiness she’s brought to their lives can go international.
“Francesca is going to show everyone that is nothing down about Down Syndrome,” Michelle told Lovin Malta. “She can achieve like any other child and she is going to represent other children. We will be helping other mothers and mothers-to-be, to show them that there is nothing scary about having a child with Down Syndrome. Quite the opposite; it’s a blessing!”
