ADPD Leader Says Malta ‘Needs A Revolution’ To ‘Reclaim Country From Criminals That Hijacked It’
Following yesterday’s vote in parliament which denied construction victim JeanPaul Sofia’s family closure by refusing to open a public inquiry, ADPD leader Sandra Gauci called for a revolution on her social media platform.
The anger was palpable throughout the country when all the sitting government MPs voted against allowing a public inquiry.
As people vented their anger on social media pages one of the most strident voices was that of Gauci who called for a revolution.
“Maltese people, wake up! This anger must go further than Facebook. Everyone is a hero behind a keyboard. There is a need for a revolution. We have been appeasing them for all these years and they have been taking us for a ride.”
“Let us regain the self respect that we have left and get rid of them. These are not leading us. They are just a smoke screen. Our country already lost a lot yesterday. Let’s reclaim our nation from the hands of these criminals. At this point they don’t deserve the title Honourable.”
This emotional outburst was just one of several that expressed the people’s disillusionment with our political class as the stony blank faces in parliament last night contrasted so highly with the emotional pain the poor mother was carrying after seven months of stonewalling that it seemed to touch the heart of the whole nation.
What do you make of Gauci’s call?
